Nanyang Wanshixing Chemical Co., Ltd. shared first-aid measures and fire-fighting measures to deal with methyl tetrahydrophthalic anhydride (MTHPA, MeTHPA):


First, first aid measures:

*first aid:

Inhalation: If inhaled, move the patient to fresh air.

Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Get medical attention if you feel uncomfortable.

Eye contact: Separate the eyelids and rinse with running water or saline. Seek medical attention immediately.

Ingestion: Rinse mouth, no vomiting. Seek medical attention immediately.


*Advice for protecting the rescuer:

Transfer patients to a safe place. Consult a doctor. Present this chemical safety data sheet to the doctor on site.


Second, fire fighting measures:

*Extinguishing agent:

Extinguish with water spray, dry powder, foam or carbon dioxide.

Avoid using DC water to extinguish the fire. Direct current water may cause splashing of flammable liquids and spread the fire.

*Fire fighting precautions and protective measures:

Firefighters must wear a gas-filled respirator, wear a full-body fire suit and extinguish the fire in the upwind direction.

Move the container from the fire to the open space as much as possible.

If the container in the fire has changed color or sounded from a safe pressure relief device, it must be evacuated immediately.

Isolation of the accident site, prohibiting unrelated personnel from entering. Contain and handle fire water to prevent environmental pollution.
